Here's what students most often want to know.
Q: When in the quarter can I get tutoring?
A: From the Sunday of Week 2 (that is, the Sunday after classes begin) through the last day of classes.
Q: When during the year do you have tutoring?
A: Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters. For Summer Session, visit the Summer Academic Resource Center instead.
Q: Can anyone make an appointment?
A: No, you have to be enrolled in the course you want tutoring for. This includes foreign languages.
Q: What courses do you tutor?
A: Bookmark our Tutoring & Foreign Language Practice page for the course lists and drop-in schedule.
Q: What if I have to cancel my tutoring appointment?
A: You must do so at least 24 hours in advance, using the appointment system. When you log in, you'll see your upcoming appointments listed; press the "X" next to the one you want to cancel.
In an emergency, with less than 24 hours' notice, e-mail us at email@example.com and your LCP directly, and your appointment will be counted as missed. If you get too many missed appointments, you may lose your tutoring privileges for the quarter.
Q: I can't see any appointments in my course. What's up?
A: If all appointments in the upcoming 7 days are already reserved, you won't see any available slots. Be sure to check back, though, since students can only reserve 7 days in advance.
Also, you must be enrolled in the course in which you are seeking help. If you've recently changed your courses, it'll take a few days for our system to be updated.
Finally, remember that tutoring doesn't begin until Week 2 of each quarter, and that it ends on the last day of classes.
