International Women’s Health and Human Rights

In this open online course, Professor Anne Firth Murray brought together an international network of experts and engaged participants to discuss critical issues: unequal access to education, food, paid work and health care; discrimination; poverty; violence. Learners in the course engaged in their communities, met peers around the world through video sessions, and learned how to connect academic ideas to real-life circumstances.  International Women’s Health and Human Rights has run successfully numerous times, and is the first MOOC run synchronously in the US and China, where it is operated through Tsinghua University’s XuetangX platform.
