Content Delivery and Logistics for a Project-based lab class

For a project-based learning class, David Goldhaber-Gordon, Professor of Physics, along with his student, Derrick Boone, a PHD Candidate in Applied Physics, addressed the need to teach students the technical foundations needed for their advanced project-based physics lab course without spending class time in the face-to-face class session. With the guidance of VPTL during the Teaching with Technology workshop, the team set out to develop a set of mini lectures and learned screen casting is not as trivial as you might imagine! They also developed a tool to better organize their students into groups for project-based work using each individual's availability.
