For grad studentTeaching Mentors in the Mentors in Teaching (MinT) program.

The material presented at the workshops includes information on developmental stages of TAs, running classroom observations, and giving constructive feedback to TAs. During the workshops, Teaching Mentors also have many opportunities to engage in challenging role play scenarios of possible interactions.

As experienced Teaching Assistants (TAs), department-based Teaching Mentors fulfill diverse roles – supporting TAs within specific courses, implementing activities for TAs to improve their teaching skills, providing feedback to departments about what TAs need to be effective in their duties, and acting as a resource on teaching in general.
