Are you interested in or involved with online learning? Would you like to have lunch with people working on similar projects?
You are cordially invited to an Open House lunch hosted by the Office of the Vice Provost for Online Learning (VPOL). This event is intended for instructional designers, video content producers and other staff members who are helping with online instruction at Stanford. Stanford faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
Some of the items we plan to discuss include:
• Seed grants & course development
• Instructional design
• Video production
• How to choose the right platform for your online course
• Massive open online courses (MOOCs)
We are hosting this gathering to give you the information you need to support the production of online courses. Very brief presentations will be given by two VPOL staff members: Amy Collier, director of teaching and technology, and Jane Manning, director of platforms and one of the developers of Stanford's own Class2Go.
After their presentations, there will be lots of time for questions. We're looking forward to hearing about your experiences and to seeing you there!
Please RSVP to Wes Choy, firstname.lastname@example.org
