Supporting Constructive Conversations in a MOOC

Through her work at SCALE, Daisy Martin, Sr. Researcher at the GSE, sought to improve upon MOOCs that had already been taught, focusing on improvements to impact participant satisfaction and learning. Working with the VPTL Instructional Design team, she focused on increasing interactivity, hybridizing – adding face to face meetings along with online meetings – and making the teaching team more visible in general to participants.
