What the best way to teach students asynchronously online without losing the active learning experiences from the face-to-face classroom? Lisa Hwang, Sr. Lecturer in Chemical Engineering, tackled this problem for the Chemical Engineering course (CHEMENG 150) that she co-teaches with Professor Y. As part of her Teaching with Technology workshop project, Lisa took an active learning exercise normally taught in a face-to-face class session and developed an online module with the exercise and a practice quiz for online Canvas delivery in Spring 2017.
